2008 Schedule.

For 2008 as with 2007 Kidsgrove Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps will be on open age unit, there are many differences in the nature that we rehearse so that we can accommodate and involve as many people as possible.

In order to allow people and families to lead a normal/balanced life there will be a total relaxation on rehearsal hours for 2008.  There will only be 13 Sunday rehearsals throughout the year (the majority of these will be 1:00 – 6:00). In addition to the rehearsals there will be 3 camps, two before the season and one before the second half of the season.  There also will be no rehearsals on all Major Holidays (Christmas, Feb Half Term, Easter, Summer and all Bank Holiday weekends.)

We expect the 2008 Show to be of the highest quality – the best that Kidsgrove Scouts has produced to date with a very large corps. It is expected that members will come to rehearsals having prepared in their own time i.e. music learned, drill dots down etc etc.  All members will be issued with music, CD’s drill books etc etc well in advance so everyone can prepare well in advance for the few rehearsals that we will have together.

All sections will have winter program performances, (these are highlighted later on). As a main corps we will compete both on the European Circuits and the UK circuits throughout the year.  We expect to be the leaders of European Drum Corps.
